Dr. James Ferguson to Join Verifications' Compliance Team

Minneapolis, MN — January 12, 2006 — Verifications, Inc., a leading national provider of employment screening and applicant processing services today announced that Dr. James Ferguson has joined the company as Chief Medical Review Officer (MRO). Dr. Ferguson joins Verifications’ industry recognized compliance team with the primary goal of helping clients plan and implement cost effective and compliant drug testing programs.

“Ferguson’s experience in the drug testing industry will help us enhance the services we offer to our clients,” said Jerry Hatton, Verifications Chief Operating Officer. “Verifications works with clients every day to improve their substance abuse testing programs and to keep them up to date on compliance issues. Dr. Ferguson has the experience necessary to help our clients and we are very excited to have him on board.”

With a track record of program management, education and training, and work with a variety of clients in the substance abuse services industry, Ferguson brings in-depth experience to a company that continues to achieve consistent, year-over-year growth. He has managed a national MRO program that processed over 800,000 drug tests per year with a staff of eight doctors. As Course Director for the American Society of Addiction Medicine MRO training program, he helps drive the continual improvement of MRO education and training.

Prior to joining Verifications, Dr. Ferguson served 10 years as Senior MRO / Chief MRO at First Advantage Corporation / Employee Health Programs, 7 years as an Urgent Care Physician at CHEC Medical Centers in Seattle, 2 years in Sandstone, Minnesota as Chief of Health Programs at the US Federal Correctional Institution, and several years of private practice. Dr. Ferguson is on the Board of Directors of the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC) and holds Certifications from: National Board of Osteopathic Examiners (Diplomate), American Society of Addiction Medicine, ASAM Certificate of Competence (MRO), and Medical Review Officer Certification Council. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in Seattle and earned his Doctor of Osteopathy at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
